3 whiskey cocktails that will surprise you this winter

Whiskey is one of the favourite alcoholic drinks of winter. In Ice Tech we have already talked about some cocktails made with this drink, such as the Manhattan or the Old Fashioned. Today we want to explain you how to prepare 3 cocktails with whiskey that will surprise you this winter.

The base of these three cocktails is whiskey. The variations depend on the fruits and spices that are added on each one. In addition, they usually carry water, milk or hot tea in order to acclimate and provide body heat.

They are served in punch glasses or jars. If you are just a few people and you are going to use glasses, remember to put a spoon inside them before serving the hot liquid. This way, we prevent it from breaking.

Hot Whiskey Lemonade

Ingredients:

• 1 ½ ounce of bourbon o blended whiskey. Each ounce is 15ml.

• Hot water

• Lemon juice

• ½ teaspoon of sugar

• 1 lemon slice

Preparation:

• Serve the lemon juice in a wide glass.

• Add whiskey and sugar.

• Fill the glass with hot water and put the lemon as an ornament.

If you don’t like whiskey, you can substitute it for rum or wine, it can be either red or white. If you prefer to use these drinks, increase the measure to 3 ounces.

Irish coffee

Ingredients:

• 2 whiskey ounces

• 1 coffee cream ounce

• 3 espresso coffee ounces

• 1 tablespoon whipped cream

Preparation:

• It is necessary to heat a glass cup resistant to high temperatures beforehand.

• Pour the whiskey, the coffee cream and stir it well.

• Add hot coffee.

• Mix it and finish putting the whipped cream.

Blue Blazer

Ingredients:

• 3 ounces of Scotch whiskey

• 1 teaspoon of sugar

• 3 ounces of boiling water

• 1 lemon peel.

Preparation:

• Put the whiskey in one jar and water in another.

• Set fire to the whiskey and pour it in the second jar.

• Pass the liquid from one jar to another several times.

• Add the sugar.

• Serve it in a glass and garnish it with lemon peel.
