World Tourism Day. Discover the most touristic cities of Italy

Since 1980, every 27th September, the “World Tourism Day” is celebrated. Citizens around the world have the right to know the diversity and beauty of the planet we live in :).

Ice Tech also wants to participate in this day, helping you discover wonderful places that you should not miss. Today we visit some of the most touristic cities of our wonderful Italy. Don’t miss it!

Venice.

Located in the northeast of Italy, for some it is the most beautiful city in the world. It has a spectacular historical centre, declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1987.

You cannot miss the great canal, the square, the Basilica and the San Marcos Campanile Tower; the Ducal Palace and the Rialto Bridge, among many other wonders!

Rome.

Rome, the capital city of Italy, is the most populated municipality in the country. The so-called “eternal city” is the city with the highest concentration of historical and architectural belongings in the world.

You can´t miss the Coliseum, the Forum, the visit to the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain… And, in general, its historic centre.

Florence.

Located in the north of Italy, Florence it is a city and the capital of the region of our wonderful Tuscany.

You cannot miss the Piazza del Duomo, where you can see and visit the Florence Cathedral; the Piazza della Signora, the Ponte Vecchio or the famous David by Michelangelo, at the Accademia Gallery in Florence.

Milan.

The largest metropolitan area in Italy. Located in the northeast of the country, Milan it´s one of the world capital cities of fashion.

It offers various opportunities for shopping at the most sophisticated brands. In addition, you should not miss the incredible Duomo or the Milan Cathedral, the glass vaults and the mosaics of the Gallery Vittorio Emanuele II, the Scala Theatre or the Opera in the Navigli District.

Pisa.

City of the Tuscany region. It has one of the most important monuments of the country. In the famous Piazza dei Miracoli (declared Patrimony of the Humanity in 1987) you can find the Cathedral, built in marble. Right next to it, with a height of almost 60 meters, we find the biggest claim of this city, The Tower of Pisa, characterized by its inclination, produced shortly after its construction began.

Naples.

The most populated city in southern Italy. Its great artistic, historical and cultural wealth, made it become a UNESCO a World Heritage Site in 1995.

Strolling through the historic centre of the city means going back twenty centuries. Its streets, monuments, buildings, castles… Everything is a set of unequalled treasures!
