Hurricane, the cocktail that devastates in summer
Hurricane is the cocktail that destroys everything. We bring it from New Orleans and, whether you are a lover of rum or not, you will surely you drink a second cup ;). Would you like to know how to prepare it? From Ice Tech we tell how!
Hurricane Cocktail.
In World War II, given the scarcity of whiskey, bars were forced to look for incredible recipes that without whiskey were able to calm all their lovers. This one was created in New Orleans, where they chose this name by the amount of hurricanes the city suffers.
The Bar where it was created was Pat O’Brien, which today is still located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The Hurricane is one of the most popular in the place, so if you go to New Orleans sometime, you know where they serve the original one 😉
The recipe has been changing over the years, being able to make impressive recipes. However, at Ice Tech we like to keep the original one, but always using an extra amount of our ice, always of great quality.
Ingredients:
- 1 part of Brown Rum.
- 1 part of White Rum.
- 2 parts of passion fruit juice.
- ½ part of lime juice.
- ½ part of grenadine.
- Ice Tech granular ice.
Preparation:
In a cocktail shaker add Ice Tech ice. After this, mix all the ingredients, shaking it well until it gets frosty.
The cup in which it is served is usually tulip-shaped, but if it is not, a large glass or a metal cup may be used. Then, decorate it with a little pineapple, a cherry and a slice of lemon if we want too, as well as a straw.
Take advantage of the hot weather to give yourself a whim. Life is too short, so live it with Ice Tech!
