The coldest and most beautiful places in Italy in winter
Italy is definitely a charming country. It doesn’t matter if you visit us in spring, summer, autumn or in the coldest days of winter. Its snow-covered landscapes are one of the most beautiful pictures in winter. From Ice Tech we recommend 4 Italian places for you to visit during this season.
Funes Valley
Funes is a small rural town located in the Alps, in the beautiful Funes Valley, in Bolzano. The green of its long meadows turns into a a large white meadow in winter, covered by a thick layer of snow that covers the entire town. It is a perfect postcard.
If you have the opportunity to go, do not hesitate to visit it. You will be surprised by this nature’s work of art!

Calitri
Calitri is a municipality of the province of Avellino, built on the hills of the Italian Campina. The city is a labyrinth of old houses, with charming and cobblestone streets. It is a beautiful place, but when it is covered by a snowfall, it becomes an amazing spot.
It is another winter must go.
San Marino
It is a micro state of only 32,000 inhabitants. It only has 24 square kilometres. It is also the oldest sovereign state in the world. Long live San Marino! Its beauty multiplies its kilometers in winter.
The grandeur of San Marino rises with Mount Titano, the most outstanding place in the Republic which has been also recognized by UNESCO as “exceptional testimony of a living cultural tradition”. From Mount Titano you can see the whole Republic.
Casentino, Monte Falterona, Parco Nazionale Campigna.
Of course we had to include The Tuscany in our favourite places, either in winter or in summer.
The National Park of Foreste Casentinesi, the Falterona Hill and the Campigna was created in 1993. Its surface is 365 square kilometres on both sides of the Apennines between Romagna and Tuscany. Its nearest location is Florence.
If you are going to visit Florence on these dates, don’t forget to discover the National Park of Foreste Casentinesi.
