How to take a Spritz? With Aperol or Campari?

As good Italians, we hear the word spritz and our moths are already watering. Our brains are already thinking it’s the cocktail hour or after work time.

For Venetians, the spritz is as common as water. We always take this red cocktail with sparkling wine and Ice Tech ice before lunch or dinner. In addition, Italians are in luck, because it is becoming more and more famous on the rest of the Mediterranean Coast.

In Ice Tech we sometimes doubt about how to take the spritz. Shall we take it with Aperol or with Campari? You may surely know the difference, but for the distracted ones we will tell you the 4 differences between them:

  1. Campari has a bitter taste; instead, Aperol has higher sugar content.
  2. Campari has twice Aperol alcohol.
  3. Campari colour is much more red and dark; Aperol has more orange and citrus colors.
  4. With a lower intensity, Aperol has much more versatility than Campari and it can be combined with many other things.

The truth is that we love spritz with either of them! Moreover, it is so easy to do it at home that we do not even have to wait to go out in order to take such a fashionable drink.

Ingredients:

– Ice Tech Ice PS o FDHD

– 1/3 of Campari or Aperol.

– 1/3 of Prosecco.

– 1/3 of soda.

– An orage slice

Preparation: In a medium or large glass of wine, we put plenty of Ice Tech ice, we add a slice of lemon if we use Campari and of orange if we use Aperol. We also add an olive poked on a toothpick.

We equally serve the Camapari or the Aperol, the Prosecco and sparkling water. We stir a little everything with a little spoon and it’s ready to drink.
