If there is something beautiful and worth admiring in Autumn are the warm landscapes of southern Italy. Sicily, the country’s largest island, is considered to be one of the most precious jewels of Italy. Its volcanoes, its history, its routes through nature and, of course, its gastronomy. THE SICILIAN CASSATA

Leaving aside the famous Sicilian ice-creams, the most traditional dessert is the Sicilian Cassata, which was presented by the court’s chefs around the year one thousand.

It is a traditional cake from the Sicilian cuisine, made with ricotta, sugar, sponge cake, marzipan, candied fruit and icing sugar.

This delicious cake can be also found in Argentina under the name Miscelánea.
