The 5 dream villages of the Cinque Terre
When talking about charming villages, there is no doubt that Cinque Terre undoubtedly takes the first prize. In Ice Tech we always talk about how wonderful Italy is and every week we find even better ideas. For this reason, today we summarize the 5 dream villages of Cinque Terre.
The 5 dream villages of Cinque Terre.
If you are looking for a dream place, this is definitely your best choice. They are five linked villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore) located on the shores of the sea and surrounded by hills and vineyards, being declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Their charms go beyond what we can tell you, so don’t feel like missing something and you enjoy them 😉
1- Monterosso al Mare.
It is the largest city of Cinque Terre, also considered as part of the National Park. It counts only with 1.5km of extension, characteristic for being a fishing town.
2- Vernazza.
It is a small peninsula surrounded by incredible walls and towers, as it is the case of the Fortress of Castello Doria that you cannot miss. It is one of the best fishing villages in the area.
3- Corniglia.
The smallest town from all towns ;). It has only 250 inhabitants and is the only one that is not directly connected to the sea. It is the heart of the five villages and, without doubt, its views are its strong point.
4- Manarola
The oldest and second smallest town in the town. If you love wine and fishing this will be your favourite one. In addition, it has the famous Via dell’ Amore, so a getaway with your partner is the best option.
5- Riomaggiore.
The most picturesque village. Accompanied by its colourful houses around the getaway and the rocky coast. Can you imagine having a refreshing Ice Tech cocktail with these views? The Enoteca Dau Cila restaurant will make it easy 😉
These lands are loaded with the charm from yesteryear, tranquillity and love. Moreover, Florence is less than 160 km far. Are you sure you’ll have to think about it? Grab your bags and book your flight! 😉
