If we take a look at the favourite cocktails in the world, we realize that almost all of them come from Venice. One reason may be the large number of writers and artists who lived in this city. Surely you’ve heard of their fondness for drink… They also say that Venice has always attracted rich and famous people, eager to enjoy its environment, its food and its drink. Anyway, it is clear that Italy is the cradle of cocktails. In Ice Tech we are convinced that ice is essential for preparing a good cocktail. We invite you to know our range of ice to be used in each drink.

Sgroppino

The Sgroppino is basically a milkshake with alcohol, it is made with crashed lemon, vodka and Ice Tech CD ice. We have already mentioned that it is the summer cocktail for being so refreshing, but it is also a great digestive drink to be served between heavy meal courses.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 2 lemon sorbet tablespoons
  • 1 oz Prosecco
  •  3 chopped fresh mint leaves
  •  1 sprig of mint
  •  Ice Tech CD ice

How to prepare it at home?

The Sgroppino can be prepared in several ways. You can add more lemon sorbet, this way you will be basically making a smoothie. If you prefer it, you can add the sorbet and wash it down with Prosecco without mixing the ingredients. We will tell you how we prepare it in Ice Tech so you have a good Sgroppino experience.
  1. Remove the sorbet from the freezer about 10 minutes before preparing the cocktail.
  2. Mix the vodka with the lemon sorbet in a shaker with Ice Tech CD ice and shake it for about 10 or 15 seconds.
  3. Place the sorbet in a bowl and whisk it by hand until it’s creamy and smooth, something similar to the meringue texture. It is best to do it manually and not with a mixer.
  4. Add the Prosecco gradually, mixing it until is fully incorporated.
  5. Serve it in a glass of champagne.
